Shipping/Returns
We generally ship within the United States only. For orders outside the U.S. please email or call us directly. We use UPS, USPS, and ship palletized shipments by various LTL carriers.
All free shipping is by ground. Expedited shipping is available on some items when the customer pays the cost of the shipping.
We carry a large stock of patio heaters and parts. Some items are not in stock and may have a lead time. We always inform our customers of any expected delays.
To provide quicker service, at times we will drop ship from one of our manufacturers or distributors.
Items that are in stock ship in one to two business days, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Returns & Replacements
Please open and inspect all packages immediately upon receipt and report freight damage right away.
30 Day Return Policy
All Returns must be requested within thirty days. We will issue a return authorization (RA). Returns must be shipped back to us within thirty days from the date the RA is issued.
Unopened and brand new items may be returned for a refund, exchange, or credit within thirty days of purchase. Customer is responsible for our original shipping costs (even if the items were sent with “free shipping”). Customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance costs. A 10% restocking fee may be applied if the integrity of the boxes is diminished by shipping both ways.
Opened items must be inspected upon receipt. If an item is dirty (including fingerprints) re-packed improperly, or damaged by the customer, then restocking fees will apply. If an item has been assembled and/or installed, then the customer is liable for replacement of all used or damaged components, and/or labor to restore item(s) to new condition, or a 25% restocking fee in addition to shipping and insurance costs, whichever is greater. Customer damaged items may be disqualified for any refund, if the cost of repairing the damage exceeds the value of the merchandise. Used items, even if fired only once, cannot be resold as new, and may be subject to larger restocking fees, depending on the condition of the items.
Defective items must be reported within thirty days, and may be returned, repaired, or replaced at no charge, at the discretion of Alfresco Heating. After thirty days the equipment manufacturers’ warranties will still apply.
Replacement Shipping Policy
Freight damaged items need to be reported to Alfresco Heating within five days of receipt. While we do our best to pack items to avoid it, items are occasionally damaged in shipping. We will replace freight-damaged items. Beginning the freight claim right away is important. If a box is damaged it is a good idea to photograph it before you open it and again when you open it. Please share those photographs with us. It is prudent to open and inspect all goods when you receive them.
Custom built items may incur higher restocking fees or may not be returnable, unless they are defective or freight damaged. (See paragraphs about defective items and damaged items). Custom items include custom sub-panels, controls, painted brackets or patio heaters that have been special-ordered in custom colors.
Refurbished, scratch/dent, and open box items are considered final sales. They are generally not eligible for returns or may incur 50% restocking fees if returned. We photograph and post photos of refurbished and scratch/dent products and show all sides and close ups of any damaged areas so that their condition is well known in advance of purchase. These items are discounted accordingly.
After 30 days from our shipping date we will not generally accept a return. If such a need arises please do contact us and we will do our best to help you, within reason. Manufacturers' warranties will apply.
Used electrical controls may not be returned.
Refunds, as applicable, will be issued within thirty days of the date of return. (Except freight claims that will be paid by the shipping company according to their policies.) The method of the refund will be the original method of payment.
Exchanges will ship as quickly as possible upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), and receipt of any additional applicable charges.
