Shipping/Returns

We ship within the United States only. We use UPS nationally, and ship UPS or USPS Priority Mail. We typically ship palletized shipments by Old Dominion, but may use other LTL carriers as well.

All free shipping is by ground. Expedited shipping is available on some items for a surcharge.

We carry a large stock of patio heaters and parts. Some items are listed as non stock, including powder-coated Infratech heaters, which require up to a 2-week lead time.

To provide quicker service at times we will drop ship from one of our manufacturers or distributors.

Items that are in stock  ship in one to two business days, Monday through Friday, except holidays.

 

Returns & Replacements

30-Day Return Policy

All Returns: Must be made within thirty days.

Unopened and Brand New Items: Unopened and brand new items may be returned for a full refund, exchange, or credit within thirty days of purchase. Customer is responsible for our original shipping costs (even if the items were sent with “free shipping”). Customer is also fully responsible for return
shipping and insurance costs. A return must be requested. Alfresco Heating will send a return label or request a pickup by UPS at our discretion.

Opened Items: If an item has been opened then inspection is necessary upon receipt. If the item was simply opened but not installed, and is not dirty, re-packed improperly, or damaged by the customer then no restocking fee will apply. If an item is dirty (including fingerprints) re-packed improperly,
or damaged by the customer then restocking fees will apply. If an item has been assembled and/or installed, then restocking fees will apply. See restocking fees paragraph. Defective Items: Any defective item, reported within thirty days, may be returned, repaired, or replaced at no charge, at the discretion of Alfresco Heating. After thirty days equipment manufacturers’ warranties will apply.

Freight Damaged Items: Please open and inspect all packages immediately upon receipt and report freight damage right away. Claims for freight damage are contingent on the freight carrier's policy. Beginning the freight claim right away is important.

Custom Items: Custom built items are generally not returnable, unless they are defective or freight damaged. (See paragraphs about defective items and damaged items). Custom items include custom modulating sub-panels, custom controls, and custom brackets. Patio heaters that have been ordered in a
color other than stock may be returned (within 30 days) in new condition for a 50% refund or credit.

After 30 days: We will not generally accept a return beyond thirty days from our shipping date. If such a need arises please do contact us and we will do our best to help you, within reason. Manufacturers' warranties will apply.

Restocking Fees: Customer is liable for shipping and insurance both ways. Customer is liable for replacement of all used or damaged components, and/or labor to restore unit(s) to new condition, or a 20% restocking fee in addition to shipping and insurance costs, whichever is greater. Customer damaged items may be disqualified for any refund, if the cost of repairing the damage exceeds the value of the merchandise. Used items, even if fired only once, cannot be resold as new, and may be subject to a larger restocking fee, up to 100%. Used electrical controls may not be returned. 

Refunds: Refunds, as applicable, will be issued within thirty days of the date of return. (Except freight claims that will be paid by the shipping company according to their policies.) The method of the refund will be the original method of payment.

Exchanges: We will ship the replacement item as quickly as possible upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, and receipt of any additional applicable charges.

Our Philosophy: We are warm, helpful, and friendly, even on the rare occasion when a customer is dissatisfied with a product that we sold. Please help us to help you by showing us patience while we do what we can to make things right for you.
